Dialogue series on data sharing and data management principles | starting 5th of September 2022

Data sharing and data management principles need to be advocated in the EO expanding community. GEO Secretariat is launching a service to raise awareness and highlight their importance.

Starting on 5th of September, the GEO Data Sharing and Data Management Principles subgroups will be running a webinar every Monday from 16:00 to 17:30 CEST to raise awareness about the GEO principles and their benefits. The webinars are aimed at all Earth observation stakeholders, including data producers, technology providers, scientists, researchers, business developers, decision makers and policy makers.

Members of the Earth observation community will discuss their experience implementing the principles, talk through how they tackled challenges and showcase the impact they realized.

To support the GEO and FAIR principles, the e-shape project has recently released a Data Management Plan (DMP) self-assessment tool to the GEO community.

e-shape is delighted to support and contribute to this initiative via several e-shape pilots and via its DMP self-assessment tool that will be presented on 24th October 2022.

Stay tuned for more information on this tool!
